About the Ingredients
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is naturally rich in curcuminoids, including curcumin, while ginger (Zingiber officinale) contains characteristic compounds known as gingerols. Both spices have a long history of traditional use and continue to be extensively studied for their naturally occurring bioactive compounds.
Black pepper adds more than flavour. Its characteristic compound, piperine, has been scientifically studied for its ability to increase the bioavailability of curcumin – helping explain why turmeric and black pepper are so often combined.

Excellent product, the pepper certainly gives it a kick, but that helps with the bioavailability of the turmeric.Bought this mostly for the health benefits and have a spoon in the morning would be good in a hot drink, but this does nullify some of the enzymes in the raw honey, so I don’t tend to use it that way. All in all a very good product I will order again and maybe try some of the other honeys also. Super quick delivery as well and good communication through the order and delivery process

Love this honey! The turmeric does leave an earthy aftertaste but I am okay with that. I like the texture – its thick/set rather like a good nut butter. It melts in the mouth. Not that good for spreading but I use a spoonful in green tea morning and night as green tea can be a bit bitter sometimes and this takes that edge off. I will definately buy again but will possible try some of the other ‘flavours’ as well. Its early days and this honey is not cheap but I have osteoarthritis in my knees and, together with other methods of controlling the pain, feel it is helpful. (I also like the taste) Like any other food this is not going to be for everyone but it maybe the one for you.

The honey itself I have no problems with, it is spicy but thats what you get with the ingredients. Its a good combination. My problem is that most people didnt know how solid this honey is, something I think the company should specify as most of the 2/3 star reviews are due to viscosity being so high, most honey is not like this, other same honeys are easier to manage and until the viscosity is lower your company is going to lose customers especially on that product. I would like to know why the viscosity is so high and have you any plans to lower it? Also, older customers will find it hard to manage.

The honey is firmer than most commercial options because it is 100% raw, unfiltered, and never pasteurised. Unlike heat-treated honeys, ours hasn’t been processed to maintain a runny texture. This means it retains all of its natural enzymes, pollen, and nutrients—but it also naturally crystallises and thickens over time. We don’t plan to alter the viscosity through heat or processing, as doing so would compromise the raw nature and integrity of the product. Based on your feedback we have now included the current texture of each variety in the product description so the customers can make an informed decision.
