About Cacao
Cacao comes from the seeds of Theobroma cacao, a tropical evergreen tree whose name translates from Greek as “food of the gods”. Its beans have been valued for thousands of years and were an important part of ancient Mesoamerican food and culture.
Cacao is naturally rich in polyphenols, particularly flavanols such as epicatechin and catechin. These plant compounds are recognised for their antioxidant activity and have been extensively studied for their role in helping protect cells from oxidative stress and supporting cardiovascular health.

It’s a set honey , quite sweet ( but a lovely natural taste which was good as I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth )
The addition of the Cacao is sublime
as I sometimes need a ‘ chocolate fix ‘ – don’t really like chocolate but when I fancy some often feel a bit ‘ meh ‘ after eating the usual fare on offer .
A bit of this on a teaspoon is a great replacement and is quite addictive!
